Liver cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, breast cancer and prostate cancer may be inhibited with the innovative ingredient known as Antroquinonol

An innovative ingredient is revolutionizing studies about cancer. We’re talking about Antroquinonol, a substance extracted from the fungus Antrodia camphorata, which is found on a certain tree species exclusive to Taiwan and which has been used in traditional Chinese medicine thanks to its benefits to the health of humankind.
Several studies have found that the extract from the mycelium and fruiting body of this mushroom contains agents which notably inhibit intracellular signals and the invasive behavior of cancer cells. As such, this promises a potentially anti-proliferative activity against several types of cancer in vivo and in vitro.
At the time of writing, its effects have been proven in several organs, which have been significantly advantageous. Nonetheless, deep research is still needed to determine its benefit and safety in patients.
Liver Cancer
One of the organs most benefitted by Antroquinonol is, without a doubt, the liver. The compound helps control diverse pathologies, including cancer. It has been shown that this compound causes apoptotic effects on two lines of cancer cells of the human liver.
According to the studies, it initiates a mitochondrial apoptotic pathway, in addition in inhibiting cell signaling, it impedes the expressions of negative elements and provokes the death of cell lines. At the same time, it could inhibit the invasive, metastatic nature of these cells via an inhibition of angiogenesis.
Antroquinonol demonstrates anti-proliferative results in the cell lines of hepatoma in vitro and in vivo which are still being studied to find significant innovations.
Non-small cell lung cancer
No effective treatment against non-small cell lung cancer has been found. However, Antroquinonol could become an effective medication in the treatment of this disease, as shown in several clinical trials performed on patients.
Researchers have discovered that it has an anti-proliferative effect on three types of cells responsible for this type of lung cancer because it inhibits cell growth and produces an apoptotic effect on those cell lines. More research is expected to better understand the substance’s properties in the treatment against lung cancer.
Breast cancer
In the case of breast cancer which affects an elevated number of women around the world, Antroquinonol induces apoptosis (cell death) in cultivated cancer cells. It has been observed to effectively cause tumor regression in models of cancer cultivated in vitro and in vivo.
One treatment with this substance reduces the propagation of damaging cells because it detains propagation via cell blocking. It was also shown to effectively slow the progression of tumors and reduce tumor production. After these results were achieved, it was suggested that Antroquinonol induces the cell death of cells that cause breast cancer.
Prostate cancer
Prostate cancer affects a large number of men. Studies have been done using Antroquinonol, which found favorable results in the treatment against this disease. The extracts showed an anti-cancer effect on the prostate cancer cell line which is sensitive to androgens.
The compound promotes the reduction of tumor cell viability and promotes cell death through the inhibition of damaging effects on the body.
Finding an effective treatment against cancer has not been an easy task. However, the scientific community and its medical manufacturing enterprises won’t stop in the search for a solution against this plague.
Studies continue to be conducted and are closer to achieving their objective. Many people are now focusing their attention on Antroquinonol, an innovative ingredient that promises potent pharmaceuticals to be developed in the fight against several types of cancer.
